Martha and the Muffins! There's a band that absolutely suffered from having a name that implied a very different kind of music than they actually wrote. Like "Echo Beach" was (and as far as I know, remains) a very popular song at goth and post-punk nights, but then people would be like "cool song who's the band" and the answer was...Martha and the Muffins.

My mom actually knew Martha back in the day. I think she was from Newmarket or Aurora or something.
